Rådmansgården (objekt 169)
In the middle of the old town on Main Street and just a stone's throw from the square and tourist office is located fd.Rådhuset Rådmansgården. The House is a rural idyll in the center.
Rådmansgården is one of the seven historical houses in Vimmerby. Probably built in the main building's ground floor is already at 1600-t. The house is on city drawings from this period. 1772 Alderman John Wimarkrantz bought the House and hence the name Rådmansgården. Wimarkrantz renovated the house and built the second floor. The main building is known for its well-preserved wall and ceiling paintings, which was built during the time alderman.
The "Gårdshuset" that opens up for day rentals in 2010 were built during the early 1800s. The house is fully modernized, but has been carefully renovated to retain its old charm. Iron stove in the kitchen, the fireplace in one of the bedrooms and fireplace in the living room is still there and the richly decorated interior door iron hangings. The house is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, shower and all that is needed for a pleasant and relaxing holiday.
There are eight beds in the house with two pairs bunks. All beds have proper madrases even the bunks. To have a holiday is also required to get good sleep.
Garden is inside built, with entrance through the big gates on Main Street and a small porch down to Stångågatan where there are good parking possibilities. The garden is thus very suitable for children and on the back of "gårdshuset" a trampoline, which usually attracts all ages. Garden furnitures are available on the patio behind "gårdshuset" and at the entrance between the houses, where even a portable barbecue is placed.
Astrid Lindgren's World is located about 15 minutes walk from Rådmansgården, to the nearest restaurant or food store about 3 min, cycle or drive to Nossenbadet about 5-10min. For fishing contact the tourist, hunting contact the owners.
