Gullringen
Gullringen is a young society situated in an old cultural district. The opening of the Eastern Central Railway in 1902, now called Stångådalsbanan, and the legend of the gold ring that disappeared marked the beginning of the village around a station. Companies that manufacture houses have, as of late, made the society well known.
Gullringen is located 20 km north of Vimmerby a few kilometres off highway 34. There is a youth hostel, a swimming pool with a pleasant cafeteria along with walking tracks. The immediate district invites you to enjoy the deep forests, beautiful places from which there are magnificent views of the beautiful countryside.
One of the country's oldest roads went through this area, Kungsvägen, which even today offers "voyages of exploration and discovery".
