The traditions of the handcraft workers of Småland can be seen in several areas throughout the municipality. Potters have been working here throughout the centuries. Several are still active and can live off their work. Vimmerby Krukmakeri (pottery) is one of them.
Candles are beautiful and smell good. Very close to "The Little Country" is Käbbo Candle Manufacturing. They are open "for most things".
Naturally there are several wood artists in the area. The forest has always been a source of inspiration as well as a place to obtain raw materials.
On Sevedegatan Lönneberga slöjd och snickeri, a few local handicraft workers have formed a co-operative.

Pewter traditions are also strong in Vimmerby. Many people will most likely have heard of the 18th century foundrymen Bergenholtz and Östling. The house they lived and worked in is still there on Storgatan. Now in modern times Vimmerby Tenn can be found in premises on Industrigatan.
