Astrid Lindgren's World
Astrid Lindgren's World is quite unique. It is a fairytale park with settings from Astrid Lindgren's stories. It's set among the woods and meadows where Astrid used to play as a child, and in the town and the region which gave her the inspiration for so many of her much-loved books.
Here children are free to play as much as they want. You will meet some of the characters from her books in the flesh - for example Emil, Pippi, Ronja and many others. The characters all play with the children and re-enact scenes from the books.
But you will also find ordinary playgrounds and picnic areas, horses, pigs, sheep, hens and many other animals. On stage in the wild Rose Valley there are theatrical performances during the summer.
We have several restaurants, cafés, shops, exhibitions and even a post office of our own with our own post office stamp.
At the cinema we show Astrid Lindgren's films throughout the day. You can buy sweets in the shop where Pippi bought 18 kilos of sweets or buy some lemonade at Pippi's lemonade tree.
Welcome to Astrid Lindgren's World.
